Alright, lately there has been much controversy on what beginner bike is the best, or the best bike for the price. This list should solve all of those questions. The bikes listed are the best in their category. They are the best bikes available on Danscomp for the price.

Flatland
Dk Opsis

Park/Street

$200-$250
Blackeye Drifter
$250-$300
Kink Gap
$300-$400
Verde Vex
Kink transition
$400-$500
The Eastern Element
$500-$600
Fit TRL 3 (brakes)
Fit STR 3 (brakeless)
$600-$700
Fit STR signature (brakeless)
Fit TRL (brakes)
We the People 4 seasons

Kink bikes

On sale at danscomp. If these bikes are in your price range, they are for you. Any of the below listed kink bikes are the absolute best bang for the buck.
Kink Launch $249 Great bike. If you have an extra $10, get the Gap.
Kink Gap $259 That is insanity. The Gap is an extremely well made bike.
Kink Liberty $339 That is $100 of regular price my friends.
Kink Roc $344 Almost $200 off regular price.
Kink Transition $339 Overall a fantastic bike.

This sale will be over soon. These bike will probably never see these prices again.

This was based on bikes available on Danscomp. There is two bikes offered in the $300-$400 price range because once the kink sale is over the transition will be above $400.

I have never riden a Subrosa, therefore I can't honestly recommend one. The bikes I listed have better stats in each category than similar Subrosa bikes anyway. The list is what it is.

I considered the WTP 4 seasons, but I decided that the Fit signatures were better.

Update: I added the WTP 4 seasons, just because its awesome.

The kink transition already is a park and street bike. It wasn't listed under Flatland...
