I've never even heard of bearings exploding, especially just because they're small. What do all small things explode now? Watch out microscopic organisms, you might spontaneously combust, just because you're small. If you wanted a 30T sprocket in front you would have to run a 12T driver in back. I'd suggest going 25-9 or 28-10.

i wasent even running a wtp rim in wan an alexa the smaller the bearing the weaker they are i run a 25 10 witch is a little bit easier to pedal put its also comfortable and the bearings in it are a little bit stronger i know a 25 9 is the most common but i dont trust it iv blown up 5 different driver bearings running a 9 in the back

| No it wont work. Well, it won't work effectively. You need a 10T driver now, to run the 28T Fit sprocket. | |

| It will work but you wont really get anywhere with that gearing. You can get a 10t driver but it will run you some money because you will probably need a whole new rim. You can run what you have now but it is not very effective. Its like the first gear on a mountain bike. | |

| First gear on a mountain bike is actually worse than this. It's usually a 24t sprocket with a 15t driver. His would feel much more like second on an 6 shift, or third on an 8 shift.
I suggest just getting a flip flop hub and rim prespoked. My local bike shop sells the wheel assembly for $40, tire and tube for $30, and then labor on moving a driver for $15. Much less than ordering one online. You should see what your local shop offers.

| Well unless you have $200 to shell out for the stolen roulette rim and hub, I'd reccomend the Poverty spare. I've been running it for two months now, and have had no problems. | |
