| Alright, I got my new frame, and it uses an integrated headtube. I got an integrated headset, because my old frame was a standard headtube. Anyways, I put the new headset in, and as soon as I tightened everything up, the bars were just stiff. With force I could turn them, but really what the fuck? So me and my friend screwed around with it for about 2 hours. Nothing. So I had to wonder if my forks had something to do with it. Are there different forks for different headtubes? Or am I just putting th headset in wrong? Because when the forks are on, it doesn't look right. You can feel a ridge so to say. It's hard to explain. I'll try and get pictures if it will help. Any help will be extremly appeciated.
Edit: Limited time offer: Free e-hug to the person that solves the problem. | |

| Ok you either put the headset in wrong or you are tightening it wrong. When you tighten the compression bolt for the forks you just do it to a certain extent and then tighten the stem bolts. or you could have put the bearings in the wrong places. It is most likely over tightening or you did not take the old race off the fork and put the new one on. | |

| Ok at the bottom of the fork where it bends there is this sort of lip looking thing. you pop that off with a little chisel and hammer or whatever and the integrated headset should come with a new one. Slide the new one back on to the fork and then tighten the forks down and it should press itself onto the fork and walla | |

| Nice! I was looking at that, but I got my new frame (Eastern Element) in perfect condition for $100. It's also lighter by half a pound. It also has the Eastern lifetime upgrade thing. | |
