That wasn't really helpful.

What Chris meant to say, was that you can't get a new bike for under $200. I was checking craigslist in my area, and several people had listed bikes with 25-9 gear ratios, stolen team cranks, hazard lite rims, WTP, & Eastern frames, and all kinds of other great stuff. They were only asking $200-$300 for bikes that their kids put well over $1000 into. Check out craigslist for your area.

Goodwill, just kidding. Check out Ebay a lot or check out the classifieds on the forums, or ask people that you know.

Yeah, not a good choice. Look for bikes that are custom built. Or a brand name stock bike. Check Danscomp.com for good brands under "bikes". Also another thing to keep an eye out for, smaller sprockets. A 28T or smaller sprocket is best.

it would work but its not my cup of tea. If you can try looking for 2008 models of bikes on another site like the dk step up or 2007 eastern traildigger and you will get a good deal for what you pay.

Flatland and cruising don't mix well. Actually, they do, but frame styles do. I'd suggest getting a 20" and doing it like freestylers did in the 80s and early 90s. Ride everything on one bike.

Definitely not. A sprocket is the the front gear that the chain is attached to. See how large the gear (sprocket) is on the DK you suggested? Now look at how small a 25T sprocket is on a bike like the eastern ramrodder.

A smaller sprocket makes accelerating easier, and it doesn't scrape when you drop in to a skatepark.

That's a really bad bike. You're better of saving up your money for a better bike. That bike is a giant trash can. It needs a box integrated into the frame labeled "Throw money away here".

a smaller sprocket isent gunna make accelerating any easier it all depends on how you gear it a 25 9 will accelerate the same as a 44 16
